We ate at Saltie today. Recommended? DOUBLE YES! Saltie offers a variety of several sandwiches, mostly vegetarian as well as a small sampling of salad, pastries and desserts. Today we had two sandwiches; the Clean Slate (pictured to the right) and the Scuttlebutt (pictured to the left). Besides the great flavors both sandwiches encompassed, the bread was a real winner. The Clean Slate was served with a Naan bread and the Scuttlebutt with a wonderfully textured Focaccia. We had heard of a dessert that was supposed to be a must have; the car bomb but we didn’t see it on the menu today. We’ll be going back to try the rest of the sandwiches on the menu though for sure.
